Destructor Web Comic Launches!

Elfworld contributors Sean T. Collins and Matt Wiegle have launched their Destructor series as a new web comic! You may recall Sean and Matt's amazing "Croc-Town" comic from the first volume of Elfworld... Well, that story is back, in FULL COLOR, on their new website, Destructor Comics! This story will be followed up with "Prison Break" (previously published in the mini-comic Murder), and will be followed by Destructor's continuing adventures in all-new stories! I'm definitely bookmarking this one!

East Bay Alternative Press Book Fair + Tales: An Indy-Fantasy Comics Reading | Sat., Dec 11

We are super excited to be participating in two great events on Saturday, Dec. 11 over in Berkeley!

First off, Family Style will be exhibiting at the first-ever East Bay Alternative Press Book Fair, at Berkeley City College. This one-day show should be lots of fun, in addition to our fellow comics creators and small-press publishers like Susie Cagle, Sparkplug Comics, Sophie Yanow, Kane Lynch, and Jen Oaks, this shows also has tons of great zines, crafts, art, and more! We'll be debuting the long-awaited fifth issue of Bird Brain, as well as bringing some sold-out titles back into print for the show. Get your holiday shopping done and support local artists!

After EBAP, come by Comics Relief in downtown Berkeley for Tales: An Indy-Fantasy Comics Reading! This will be a super fun night of sword & sorcery comics from the pages of Elfworld and beyond, from some of the best indy creators around: Trevor Alixopulos, Ben Costa + J.R. Parks, David Enos, Ben Catmull, and yours truly, Francois Vigneault. It should be a great evening filled with great tales, from the hillarious to the mysterious and everything in between!

If you take a gander at our store page, you'll probably notice that we've got a lot of "Sold Out" signs popping up all over the place... I just wanted to give you all a heads up that Family Style will soon have lots of those titles back in print, along with some new and exciting projects too, all in the next few months! We will be bringing Nick St. John's comics back into print, as well as that old favorite by Raquel Reyes,Tapir Caper! Furthermore, Family Style is happy to announce that we will be publishing David Enos' great men's magazine parody Peter, too! All that and another issue of Bird Brain, too! So stick around, we're ending 2010 with a bang (and starting 2011 with an even bigger one... Elfworld #2 will be out in April, plus some other surprises... stay tuned) and we can't wait to get all this stuff into your hands!
